LIMITED EDITION

Officers from the department are allowed to wear the St Patrick's Day patch for the month of March. This patch represents luck, hope, and love. The Irish Flag colors are shown surrounding three intertwined four leaf clovers above a gold harp.

Proceeds from the patch will go to Youth Driven, which is a traffic safety and leadership program. It provides Rhode Island youth and their adult advisors with the motivation, information, skills and support necessary to organize events and activities that support Traffic Safety efforts within their communities. Safety campaigns targeting distracted driving, impaired driving, and speeding, as well as, alcohol and drug free prevention strategies are examples of planned topic areas to be covered. The program is supported by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT), Office On Highway Safety.
